Adenylate cyclase is a membrane bound enzyme that catalyses the formation of cyclic AMP from ATP. It is regulated by a family of G protein-coupled receptors, protein kinases, and calcium. The type 9 adenylyl cyclase is a widely distributed adenylyl cyclase, and it is stimulated by beta-adrenergic receptor activation but is insensitive to forskolin, calcium, and somatostatin. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Gene Symbol : ADCY9
Gene Name : Adenylate cyclase 9
Chromosome : CHR 16: 411,618,4-395,338,6
Locus : 16p13.3
This gene is located within a large protease gene cluster on chromosome 16. It belongs to the group-1 subfamily of serine proteases. The encoded protein is a secreted tryptic serine protease and is expressed mainly in the pancreas. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2016]
Gene Symbol : PRSS27
Gene Name : Protease, serine 27
Chromosome : CHR 16: 272,055,0-271,241,7
Locus : 16p13.3
